Today we announced that we will donate our leading cloud practice management solution to Veterinarians International, a non-profit organization based in New York, in support of Veterinarians International’s mission to enhance the health of humans, animals, and the environment through the use of sound veterinary care and expertise.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 75% of new emerging diseases and 60% of known infectious diseases are zoonotic, meaning that they come from animals,” said Dr. Scarlett Magda, Founder and President of Veterinarians International. “We must have healthy animals to have healthy people. Vetter Software will allow our program leaders on the ground and abroad to be able to have hands-on insight on the medical management of our patients, which will enable us to be transparent and pick up potential issues quickly.”

“The connection between humans and animals reaches farther than companionship or pet ownership alone,” said Sagi Solomon, Founder and CEO of Vetter Software. “In many parts of the world keeping animals healthy translates directly to keeping people healthy, and technology has to play a leading role in solving many of the issues faced by organizations working in the field. We’re proud to be a part of team that supports Vets International with its work in Thailand and Latin America, and look forward to working with other non-profit organizations that are helping all of us stay healthy by keeping animals healthy.”

Vets International coordinates operations in several countries simultaneously, which makes inventory management particularly challenging. “In addition to being easy to use and universally accessible, Vetter Software will allow us to track our inventory instantly, which will help greatly with planning,” added Dr. Magda. “Being able to log into Vetter Software from anywhere will allow our program director to track our medical supplies in real-time and plan budgeting forecasts more efficiently.”

About Veterinarians International

Vets International's mission is to use sound veterinary expertise to enhance the health of humans, animals and the global environment. Our organization aims to raise awareness of the interconnectedness of humans, animals and the environment via a local and global approach. The health and welfare of animals is integral to our survival, both at home and abroad. Vets International participates in community meetings, delivers vaccines, and provides training programs in animal health, food production, nutrition, husbandry, and disease control, so the men and women on the ground can improve conditions within their communities. Our initial projects include providing a veterinary care program to Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary and its surrounding community of Sukhothai, Thailand, and working with the Global Alliance for Animals and People to promote humane education and disease prevention of dogs in Chile and combat rabies in Guatemala.
