Canine rabies is a fatal disease affecting dogs and people, easily prevented in both by the simple act of vaccinating dogs. The Global Alliance for Animals and People has been providing basic veterinary services including spays and neuters, parasite prevention and vaccinations in Latin America since 2009.
In support of this great cause, we’re inviting veterinary clinics to participate in the GAAP’s first annual “Dare to Share” contest. The name of the contest is “Dare to Share” because we are inviting you to SHARE your time, expertise and goodwill in raising funds and awareness for this year’s highlighted project: the GAAP’s annual health campaign in the remote highlands of Guatemala.
What makes it a contest? All participating clinics will be competing for the opportunity to send two employees to Todos Santos, Guatemala to work hands-on with the GAAP. The contest begins today and ends on January 31, 2015. If you’re interested in participating, please register your clinic by sending an email to info@thegaap.org (please attach your clinic logo and website URL for posting on the GAAP’s website). All the registered clinics will receive an e-fundraising package as well as information and photos about our project.
The winner will be announced by email on February 3, 2015. The visit to Todos Santos will take place March 22-28, 2014. All raised funds will be used to purchase supplies, pharmaceuticals, vaccinations, to employee local residents during the campaign and other associated costs for the campaign in March 2015 in Todos Santos. Additional contest rules are included in the e-fundraising package.
This is a great opportunity to show your commitment to improving the health of the world’s animals. For more information on our mission and vision visit their website at www.thegaap.org.
